The present study aimed to determine the relationship between nutritional status, dental caries and gingival inflammation in pregnants from Iquitos hospital "Cesar Garayar García" in 2014. The type of research was quantitative; the design not experimental, correlational, transversal. The sample consisted of 355 pregnant patients. The instrument used to identify the nutritional status of pregnants was through a recommendation chart of weight gain to pregnant. It was used the (CPOD) index to identify the dental caries index and the Sillnes and Leo gingival index to identify the gingival inflammation. Among the most important findings was found: The prevalence of dental caries was 96.6% and gingivitis was 98.6%. The CPOD index was 13.1-5.04, which covey component was the most representative with 56.9%. In the Sillnes and Leo Gingival Index was observed that 51.3% was moderate and 45.6% had a mild gingival index. The BMI (body mass index) of pregnant women, 55.5% had a normal weight, 18% with overweight and 18% with underweight. It was applied the CHI chart to establish the relation between nutritional status and gingival inflammation, obtained in Chi = 64.095; gl = 9, p_valor = 0.000; found a statistically significant relation between variables. The CHI chart was applied to establish the relationship between nutritional status and dental caries to give a (x2=216,982, gl=54, P_valor=0,000); determined a statistically significant relation between the two variables. It was applied the CHI chart to establish the relation between gingival inflammation and dental caries to give a Chi =389,058, gl=54, p_valor=0,000, found a statistically significant relation between variables.
