With the objtive to determine the diametric growth, basal area and volume of the forest of the "El huayo" arboretum of the forestry research and teaching center (CIEFOR), Iquitos, Peru, a study was carried out under the principle of continuous forest inventory, during the period 2002 to 2018, using four permanent plots of one hectare each, divided into subplots of 13.58 m on each side. The average annual increase (IMA) in woods with very high basic density was 0.337 cm / year, high density 0.343 cm / year and average density 0.378 cm / year, low density 0.521 cm / year and in very low density 0.556 cm / year year. As a result of the lianas the IMA varied between 0.43 to 0.505 cm / year. 90.84% of the trees did not have lianas, 6.56% had vines without affecting their growth and in 2.60% of the trees they had lianas that restricted their growth. The scyophyte species grow faster in the forest at 0.198 ± 0.03 m2 / year, in the durable heliophiles the AMI of the basal area was 0.117 ± 0.03 m2 / year, in the heliophilic species it was 0.050 ± 0.03 m2 / year. The AMI of the volume in the scryophyte species was 4,281 ± 0,547 m3 / year, in the durable heliophiles it was 2,442 ± 0,547 m3 / year, in the ephemeral heliophytes it was 1,242 ± 0,547 m3 / year.
