The research work was carried out in the Vaccine Project of the Faculty of Agronomy of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, entitled “Planting distance in a linear form of the sugarcane crop (Saccharum officinarum) and its effect on forage yield in the Fundo de Zungarococha, San Juan Bautista - 2017 ”, the distances were taken from short to longer for forage production. The evaluations were carried out at the 16th. week after sowing with vegetative seeds (stems), with experimental units of 3.6 m2 of area, established in an Ultisol soil. The Randomized Complete Block Design (DBCA) was used, with five treatments and four repetitions, using the Inforstart statistical package, the treatments under study were: T1 (0.2 x 0.2 linear meters), T2 (0.4 x 0.4 linear meters) , T3 (0.6 x 0.6 linear meters), T4 (0.8 x 0.8 linear meters) and T5 (1.0 x 1.0 linear meters). In plant height, it was found that the greater the distance, the greater the plant height. In the production of green matter from the whole plant, leaves and buds and stems, with the planting distance 0.6 m x 0.6 m (T3) the best results were achieved. In the production of dry matter of whole plant and stems, the best results were obtained with T2 (0.4 mx 0.4 m), on the contrary for dry matter of leaves and buds in T3 (0.6 mx 0.6 m) there was a slight increase. The planting distance determines the yield of green matter, in the sugarcane fodder, it is concluded that the T3 treatment (0.6 m x 0.6 m) is the most adequate to achieve a higher yield of green fodder per hectare at the 16th week.
