The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between parenting styles and aggressiveness in high school students from public, urban educational institutions in the district of Iquitos 2020. It is a confirmatory research with a correlational and cross-sectional design, which included a population of 7,921 high school students, enrolled in the 2020 school year, whose sample was represented by 336 students, selected using the stratified sampling method by proportional allocation. The results of this research show that the parenting style that occurs most frequently in high school students from public educational institutions, urban in the district of Iquitos 2020, is the authoritarian style (32.7%), and in a lower percentage the assertive style (26.8%), indulgent (24.1%) and negligent (16.4). The type of aggression that occurs most frequently in students at the secondary level of public educational institutions, urban in the district of Iquitos 2020, is verbal aggression (45.0%), followed by physical aggression (31.8%) and psychological aggression (23.2%). The inferential analysis carried out by means of the non-parametric statistical test of free distribution for ordinal variables, Spearman's Rho (rs), allowed to establish that: there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and aggressiveness in students at the secondary level of public, urban educational institutions from the district of Iquitos 2020, (p <0.05 and rs = 0.886 very strong positive correlation) with a significance value of p = 0.00017, which demonstrated the validity of the general hypothesis of the research formulated. Regarding the contrasting of the specific hypotheses, it was established that: There is a significant relationship between the authoritarian parenting style and aggressiveness in high school students of the study sample (p <0.05 and rs = 0.872, very strong positive correlation) with a significance value of p = 0.00027, demonstrating the validity of the first specific research hypothesis formulated. It was also found that: There is a significant relationship between indulgent parenting style and aggressiveness in secondary school students in the study sample (p <0.05 and rs = 0.756, considerable positive correlation) with a significance value of p = 0, 00018, demonstrating the validity of the second specific research hypothesis formulated. Similarly, it was found that: there is a significant relationship between negligent parenting style and aggressiveness in secondary school students in the study sample (p <0.05 and rs = 0.889, very strong positive correlation) with a significance value of p = 0.0001, demonstrating the validity of the third specific research hypothesis formulated. Finally, it was verified that there is a significant relationship between assertive parenting style and aggressiveness in high school students in the study sample (p <0.05 and rs = 0.446) with a significance value of p = 0.00025), demonstrating the validity of the fourth specific research hypothesis formulated.
