The present study aimed to determine the microbiological quality of the crust Cariniana decandra Ducke (caspi tape) used as input-alcoholic drinks etnoterapéutico use in Loreto. Samples of bark, on both sides of the road were collected Zungarococha -Llanchama from km 4.7 to km 11.4 in the villages Puerto Almendra and Nina Rumi, who after being upgraded and preserved in powdered form were subjected to microbial limits testing established by the US Pharmacopoeia (USP 35) .The results showed absence of Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella spp in all samples of the species. 6 sampled trees Cariniana decandra Ducke (caspi tape), samples of bark of the tree 1, 3 and 4 are accepted as plant material bioactive to present the parameters of microbiological quality required by the Pharmacopoeia USP 35 and adopted by the DIGEMID of Peru.
