The present study consists of evaluating the antioxidant activity and determining the phenolic compounds present in the bark and rind of the Tynanthus Panurensis plant (clove huasca). The sample was obtained in the experimental campus of the Faculty of Agronomy of the UNAP, Province of Maynas, Loreto Region, Peru. The antioxidant content thereof was evaluated, using a design for convenience, the extract obtained by maceration in 1% ethanol of formic acid, UV-Vis spectrophotometers were tested for the Antioxidant Activity (AA) by the DPPH method. In the bark its antioxidant activity was observed at 25% with a minimum inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.1 mg/ml, reaching a maximum concentration of 0.5 mg/ml with an antioxidant activity of 78%; and in the peel, a minimum inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.25 mg/ml of 25% antioxidant activity was observed and the inhibitory activity increases at a higher concentration of the extract. In the ethanolic extract of the bark, flavonoids were found (1.09 ± 1.32 g quercetin/100 g original sample), total phenols (39.48 ± 25,645 mg EAG/100 g original sample), and anthocyanins (0.06 ± 0.26 mg of cyanidin-3-glucoside/100g of original sample); and in shell was determined with greater flavonoids presence (6.94 ± 5.66 g quercetin/100 g original sample), total phenols (28,109 ± 11,305 mg EAG/100g original sample), anthocyanins (4.54 ± 1.14 mg of cyanidin-3-glucoside/100g of original sample) and tannins (2.51 ± 0.0 mg (+) - catechin/100 g of original sample).
