This study aimed to determine the relationship between the width of the are~ dental crowding and gender in secondary schools in the lE Rosa Agustina Donayre Morey 2012. The research was quantitative, the design was not experimental, correlational. The sample consisted of 14 7 students. The instrument used for this study was collected from the collection of data for measuring the width of the arch and determining gender and dental crowding. Among the most important findings was found that: The crowding rate was 77.6% mild to moderate and severe 19.7% to 2.7% in the maxilla. On the other band, the crowding rate was 57.1% mild moderate and severe 35.4% to 7.5% in the mandible. The slight crowding was 77.6% in the upper jaw in males 40.1% of cases and 37.4% feroale. Moderate crowding in roen was 10.2% and 9.5% in females, while the severe crowding in males was O. 7% and 2% feroale. The crowding of the lower jaw was in the masculine gender of 26.5% and 30.6% female. Moderate crowding in roen was 19.0% and 16.3% in females; the severe crowding in roen was 5.4% and 2% in females. The average width of the maxillary arch in males was 36.06 mm with a standard deviation of 2. 77 mm and the female was 34.46 mm with a standard deviation 3.17 mm being the arch of the genus statistically superior to male female. The average width of the mandibular arch in males was 30.36 mm with a standard deviation of 3.52 mm and in feroales was 29.29 mm with a standard deviation of 3.51 mm being the Arcade statistically superior to male female.
