From April to July of 2019, the biological aspects of food and life cycle of Hamadryas feronia L. Mariposa electrical, in San Rafael, were studied and known. By which it was determined that the taxonomy of the sub species of the Hamadryas feronia L. butterfly was Hamadryas feronia feronia (Linnaeus, 1758) and whose food plants related to this species, were: Dalechampia juruana as the only host plant whose larvae feed on its leaves; Cedrela odorata, Spondias mombin, Uncaria guianensis, Syzygium malaccense and Pouteria caimito as food plants for adults. The biological cycle from egg to adult lasts on average 28.24 days. It is concluded that the egg lasts 3.75 ± 0.40 days, the larva goes through 5 stages with an average of 16.49 days, the prepupa lasts on average of 1.33 ± 0.49 days and the pupa lasts an average of 6.67 ± 0.80. The average longevity of the male lasted 31.80 ± 3.29 days and the female 42.00 ± 2.14 days.
