Objective: To determine what factors are associated with the presence of xerostomia in the geriatric population of the San Francisco De Asís nursing home, Iquitos 2020. M ethod: The type of study is quantitative correlational level , and non andexperimental prospective , crosssectional , research design and descriptive research where the salivary flow of the geriatric population of the San Francisco De Asís nursing Test). home, Iquitos 2020 was measured. TSM (Modified Schirmer Results: The sample consisted of 44 patients, 79.5% of the studied population presented xerostomia, of which 50.0% were from the age group of 75 to 89 years of age where 46.9% presented xerosto mia, 65.9% were male. of which 52.3% present xerostomia, 72.7% use antihypertensive drugs where 63.6% present xerostomia, this result being statistically significant (p = 0.03), 77.3% consume anxiolytics where 59.1% present xerostomia. Conclusion: There is only a significant association between the use of antihypertensive drugs and xerostomia in geriatric patients from the San Francisco de Asís Iquitos 2020 Asylum (p <0.05).
