Diab Capsules were given to Holtzmann Albino Rats induced with 5% of alloxan to evaluate the hypoglycemic effect. The experimental study prospective in albino rats ( Rattus Norvegicus Holtzmann Breeding) was divided in four experimental groups with 10 animals in each group ( Group 1: Negative control, Group 2: Positive control - 10 mg of glibenclamide, Group 3: 100 mg/kg of Diab Capsules and Group 4: 200 mg/kg of Diab Capsules), The induction of experimental diabetes in albino rats was made with the administrated by intraperitoneally of alloxan (135mg/kg/p.c.), after 48hrs. the Diab Food Supplement was administrated orally in all the experimental groups, the serum glycerol was quantified consecutively at 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24hrs, It was observed that the Diab Food Supplement with a dose of 100 mg/kg reached the 17.33% and with a dose of 200 mg/kg reached the 28.46% after 24 hrs. of evaluation presented hypoglycemic effect (ant diabetic) appearing to be directly proportional to the dose.
