This study delas with the characterization and quantification of Onycophora individuals existent in the white-sand forest and mixed natural forest inside the Arboretum El Huayo, located in the CIEFOR Puerto Almendras, Loreto, Perú. The collection of Onycophora individuals was carried out in four different habitats inside the forest: under the litterfall, under decaying logs, inside leaves of bromelias and epiphytas and inside cracks and holes of the ground. All 9 indivuals collected were checked to belong to the Peripatidae family, exclusive for tropical forests, seven individual were found in the white-sand forest and only two individuals were found in the mixed tropical forest.
