The present investigation had as general objective to determine the relationship between the diffusion of environmental knowledge and household solid waste management in the city of Requena, Iquitos 2020; opting for a correlational descriptive research and non-experimental design, for which a sample of 366 residents of the city of Requena has been taken, who were surveyed through a questionnaire that analyzes their perception regarding the variables evaluated; managing to conclude that the dissemination of environmental knowledge is significantly related to the management of household solid waste in the city of Requena, Iquitos 2020; which is contrasted by a degree of significance of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient (Spearman's Rho) of 0.872 which is very strong positive. Likewise, it was determined that the diffusion of environmental knowledge is deficient (42%), with a tendency to be efficient (31%), this due to the fact that the means of diffusion and the use of social networks by the institution are minimal, no information on caring for the environment is disseminated. Finally, it is determined that the management of household solid waste is inadequate (43%), with a tendency to be adequate (29%), this because the residents denounce the container where they store their garbage, not always of a resistant material, does not separate garbage into different containers.
