The present study objective determine the Relationship between the Nutritional State and the Diet Provided in patients with HIV / AIDS in the Service of Medicine of the Regional Hospital of Loreto in 2016, by means of a quantitative approach, non-experimental type, of descriptive correlational design , a total of 71 patients of both sexes and of age groups from 18 years to 65 years of age, attended in the Medicine Service of the Regional Hospital of Loreto, collected data through validated surveys during stay, selecting patients according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. It was determined that of a total of 71 patients, 66.20% belongs to the male sex and 33.80% to the female sex, whose average age is 35 years, 52.11% has a nutritional diagnosis of low weight, in the study was obtained a difference of -20.83% in the Energy, Protein, Lipids and Carbohydrates Contribution with respect to the Total Energy Requirement, a Standard Deviation 362.32 Kcal was obtained in the Energy Contribution of the Diet and 176.79 Kcal in the Total Energy Requirement, 78.87%, He received a Liquid Diet during his stay, 70.42% received a Soft Diet, 12.68% received a Complete Diet, to establish the degree of association between the variables, there were submitted to Spearman's statistical correlation test, which determined that there is statistical evidence to affirm that there is no correlation between the variable Nutritional State and the variables Diet (Rho = 0.171, p = 0.234) and Days of Stay (Rho = -0.169 p = 0.234) with un level of significance of 5%.
