The project was carried out in the facilities of the Iquitos Thermal Power Station - Electro Oriente S.A. Located in the district of Iquitos. The objective of the study was to evaluate the situational status of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System of the company Electro Oriente S. A. based on the principle of prevention of the Occupational Safety and Health Act - Law 29783. Electro Oriente S.A. Has a total of 270 400 hours worked men per month in April, which represent the actual time of exposure of workers to the risks inherent in the work performed; On which the frequency and severity indexes of the accidents recorded during that time period are determined. Training in occupational safety and health represents 5.4% of man hours worked or exposed to risk, with a compliance rate of 131.1% compared to what is programmed in the annual plan for occupational safety and health. The frequency index during the first four months of the year 2017 was 14.79, which shows that for every million man hours worked, there are 15 accidents with incapacity, showing an increase of 87.5% with respect to the previous year, which merits the Implementation of Adequate controls on occupational safety and health according to the reality of the business activity, in order to prevent damages, injuries and deterioration to health. The severity index during the first four months of the year 2017 was 85.06, which means that for every million man-hours worked, 86 days are lost, showing a decreasing tendency of lost time as a result of the injuries that are transcribed in a minor Operating cost. The safety and health observations found were 16.2% higher than the number of inspections carried out, of which 34.2% belong to observations registered to the company providing outsourced services "Albera", 25.3% to Loreto Electric Services and a 17.72 % To the Iquitos Thermal Power Station
