This research entitled "Social changes and economic perspectives generated by prior consultation in the native community San Antonio de Picuruyacu, Loreto 2020", used the mixed approach because it combined qualitative and quantitative methodology, with respect to the first methodology it reflects the daily life of the population involved, the context and social constructions, also, referring to the second methodology, it used quantitative data that allowed to collect information through techniques and strategies that characterize this approach, aimed at providing answers to the questions posed in this research. Likewise, it is of a descriptive type and ethnographic design. The population a total of 510 inhabitants between men, women and children, distributed in 92 families. His data collection techniques were surveys, semi-structured interviews, participant observation and focus groups. Finally, the investigation concludes by explaining that the prior consultation process developed in 2014, in the native community of San Antonio de Picuruyacu, did not take place in a conclusive manner despite the fact that the State guaranteed respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, their linguistic identity, preserving in its collective memory and its history. The project did not succeed until now, which generated social changes reflected in attitudes, behaviors and distrust of the State, likewise, the economic expectations generated at the time created discontent in the inhabitants. At present they are dedicated to making their farms, selling banana, yucca and derivatives thereof (fariña, tapioca, veshú, cahuana, masato) in the city of Iquitos, in addition, they work as laborers on the Iquitos-Mazan highway and others migrate to the city in search of opportunities.
