Myrciaria dubia is an amazonian fruit that produces various nutrients and bioactive substances. Stands out for its high content of vitamin C, followed by anthocyanins, mainly cyanidin-3-glucoside, which accumulates in the fruit peel green-mature and mature. However, we do not yet know which genes involved in the biosynthesis and accumulation of cyanidin-3-glucoside in this species and what is the relationship of the level of expression of these genes in the anthocyanin content. The main objective of this research was to determine the correlation between the expression level of phenylalanine ammonia lyase gene (PAL), chalcone synthase (CHS) and UDP- glucose: flavonoid-3-O-glucosyl transferase (UFGT) with concentration anthocyanins in fruits of Myrciaria dubia. The fruits (green, green-mature and mature) were obtained from the germplasm collection of M. dubia INIA, which was extracted extracted and quantified anthocyanins. Also, the total RNA was purified. Then he synthesized by reverse transcription and amplified cDNA genes of interest and reference gene (SAND) by real-time PCR (qPCR). The results indicate that the anthocyanin content is higher in the ripe fruit peel (759.98 mg/L), followed by green-mature fruit peel (478.91 mg/L) and green (40.11 mg/L). The level of expression of the three genes analyzed showed significant positive correlation (r> 0.90, p <0.05) with the content of anthocyanins in the fruits of M. dubia. In conclusion, the level of expression of PAL, CHS and UFGT genes show positive correlation with the content of anthocyanins in fruits of M. dubia.
