The influence of the study area, located within the proposed Micro ecological and economic zoning for the sustainable development of the area of influence of the road Iquitos - Nauta, which covers an area of 264,086 SIG has. It is located in the lowlands of Peru, to the left margin of the Marañón rivers (hamlet San Jorge) and Amazonas (confluence with the river Nanay), low sector of the Nanay River right bank. The aim of the study was to estimate the carbon content air and type of forest biomass in the area of influence of the road Iquitos - Nauta. According to the study the amount of biomass and carbon estimate varies by type of forest in the catchment area of the Iquitos-Nauta highway, so the hypothesis in this research is accepted, the classification and systematization of data It was based forest inventory conducted in Rainforest Plains Meándricas, Rainforest Terrazas Floodplain low, Rainforest half Terrazas, Rainforest high Terrazas, Rainforest of low hills, Aguajal, Marsh and Varillal, from 250 plots originating fieldwork of the Ecological and Economic Microzonation for sustainable development of the area of influence of the road Iquitos - Nauta. The carbon content was performed from data biomasaaérea of forest types, using the average value of carbon is 0.5, corresponding to 50% of the biomass. The carbon stored in these forests varies between sites studied, this variation depends on the degree of development, the degree of intervention in the forest and in turn indicates the potential for carbon accumulation may submit. The results meet the objective of the study was to estimate the biomass and carbon content in different types of vegetation. The forest type containing higher carbon content was the Rainforest of low hills. Next was Aguajal. Which contains less carbon was Varillal. Forest type units and other associations were found, the types of forest or vegetation (Meándricas Plains Rainforest, Rainforest Terrazas Floodplain low average Terrazas Rainforest, Rainforest high terraces and Humid Forest Hills Low) consists of forest cover, with carbon content and other associations (Aguajal, Marsh and Varillal) is formed by a cover. In total air study is made up of forest cover.
