In this work, the in vitro antioxidant activity of Justicia spicigera leaves and Erythrina fusca L. bark was evaluated by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picril-hydrazil - DPHH, collected in the community of Quistococha, San Juan Bautista district, belonging to to the Loreto region. Plant species collected for convenience, pulverized and macerated in methanol for seven days, later filtered. The methanolic extracts with values of IC50 = 75.11mg obtained for J. spicigera leaves and IC50 = 8.46mg for E. fusca L. bark showed to have antioxidant activity blocking radicals of DPPH and reducing power with IC50 values. less than 80 mg / mL. Thus, the results obtained suggest that J. spicigera leaves and E. fusca L. bark could constitute an interesting source of antioxidant compounds, useful at the food and pharmaceutical industries level.
