From May to October 2015, we have studied the diversity of herpetozoos in varillal forest of the National Reserve Matsés - Surveillance Station Torno (Peru), by direct observation and casual registers. The richness of herpetozoos was 32 species: 20 amphibians (19 anuran and 1 caudate) and 12 reptiles (11 lizards and 1 snake). The amphibians' families with higher number of species were Hylidae (10) and Craugastoridae (3), and for reptiles were Dactyloideae (2) y Tropiduridae (2); the varillal forest reports a Margalef's diversity index for amphibians of 3.064 y for reptiles of 2.581. The major relative abundance (AR) was achieved in amphibians with Rhinella margaritifera (3.50 Ind /km) and Oreobates quixensis (2.18 In/km) and for reptiles Gonatodes humeralis (0.52 Ind/km) and Kentropyx pelviceps (0.42 Ind/km); the highest density in anfibians were for Rhinella margaritifera (14.58 Ind/km2) and Oreobates quixensis (9.08 Ind/km2), and reptiles Gonatodes humeralis (2.16 Ind/km2) and Kentropyx pelviceps (1.75 Ind/km2).
