Social programs are very necessary because they come to alleviate the plight of the poor population, but they have to be temporary and sustainable. The objective of this thesis is to determine the incidence of social spending on the well-being of the population of the department of Loreto, in the period 2014 - 2018. Due to this, this research was carried out of a Quantitative type, Correlational level and design No Experimental. The thesis concludes that the social spending directly affects the well-being of the Loreto population, during the period 2014 - 2018, having been validated with the Correlation Coefficient that was r = 0.761738179; higher than the minimum value required (0.75) to demonstrate the existence of a good statistical association between variables. Social spending was concentrated in Axis 3: Comprehensive Development of Children and Adolescents, reaching S /. 4,196,728,316.00; equivalent to 49.00% of the total. The average real monthly per capita expenditure is used to measure the well-being of the population, according to the methodology applied by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics - INEI, observing that it had a variable behavior throughout the five years of study, that on average was S /. 536.00; below the national average, which amounted to S /. 759.00. Poverty was reduced in general terms, going from 38.50% to 34.55%; but extreme poverty increased from 6.10% to 6.85%.
