The investigation was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the height of the floor and the use of charcoal and its effect on environmental health and weight gain in broiler chickens, the study having been carried out in the home environment of Mr. Wilson Vásquez Pérez, advisor of the present investigation, located in Putumayo 2745, district of Iquitos. The type of quantitative and qualitative experimental research was used with the completely randomized DCA design with three treatments and 10 repetitions for each treatment. 30 one-day old meat-type BB chickens from the COBB 500 line were bred, all males, which were divided into 3 groups: 10 birds per treatment, making a total of 6.25 chickens / m2. For the evaluation of the treatments, the statistical program was used where the analysis of variance and dispersion analysis and graphs, homogeneity test of variance and normality and test of significance (Kruskal Wallis) were used. According to the results of the three (03) treatments under study, none of them showed the presence of gases and odors in the study area, demonstrating their action of the coal bed. In the field of environmental health and the item perception of gases and odors, in the breeding area, it turned out that there was no presence of bad odors and gases inside the raising of chickens. In the item perception of the presence of insects in the breeding area, with the age of 31 to 45 days, the presence of flies resulted, whose indicator of evaluation is the scale 1 - little (10 insects). In the item: degree of skin lesions (skin, breast and foot) in chickens, second evaluation at 45 days, of the 30 chickens it turned out that 2/30 (yes) have skin lesions (scratches) on skin and breast and ( no) in the foot, whose result is wound grade 1 and then 3/30 (if) has skin lesions in skin and breast and (no) in the foot, resulting in reddish spots. At the conclusion of our work, the high cost of using rice husk coal as a bed was taken into account, but the cost - benefit effect of the chickens was observed in the reduction of the emission of gases and the proliferation of insects and others.
