Pharmacognostic study the species Maytenus macrocarpa and Tynanthus panurensis was performed. Macromorphological characteristics of the leaves and bark of both species, with the aim of determining the outside and properly interpret monograph thereon is determined. The quality parameters were performed: determination of foreign matter in 0.0404 ± 0.0567% and 0.0667% Maytenus acrocarpa in Tynanthus panurensis ± 0.0321; percentage of residual moisture (12.3488% - 12.8518%) and (10.8631% - 11.2159%) of the species on average equivalent study in root and bark; Water-soluble substances (% ± 0.8317 6.7431) and (0.4704 ± 7.2249%) at 50 º GL alcohol (16.7963% ± 4.4445) and (20.2041% ± 3 , 4761); 70 º GL (16.7336% ± 4.6214) and (20.5268% ± 3.0665) of both species respectively; Total ash (1.7915% ± 0.1209 and 0.1644 ± 1.7813%); ash soluble in water (1.2931% ± 0.0887 and 0.1443 ± 1.3309%); acid insoluble ash 0.4518% ± 0.0869 and 0.1011 ± 0.5437%) of the species corresponding to bark study, the methods used are those described for the Branch Standard MINSAP raw drugs and the results are within the permissible ranges thereof. Fluid extract leaves, bark and roots which he determined was prepared: qualitatively secondary metabolites finding the presence of sterols (leaf), amino acids (root), saponins (root. bark and leaf), phenols (root, bark and leaf). respectively, in the species of Maytenus macrocarpa, also finding sterols (leaf), phenols (root, bark and leaf) in Tynanthus panurensis species, according to the method of Miranda Martinez Cuellar Cuellar M. & A. The results were evaluated in Microsoft Excel 2007 Microsoft Office program for carrying out the corresponding statistical analysis (arithmetic mean and standard deviation).
