The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of lyophilized hydroalcoholic extracts of leaves of Alternanthera halimifolia and Pseudelephantopus spiralis against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcos faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, through the disk diffusion method, macrodilution in liquid and solid. The results revealed the activity of antimicrobial capacity hydroalcoholic extracts of the leaves of Pseudelephantopus spiralis, present low activity against P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and the concentrations of 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900 mg / ml against E. faecalis and E. coli, the activity was moderate. Results in antimicrobial capacity hydroalcoholic extracts of leaves of Alternanthera halimifolia against E. faecalis, E. coli and S. aureus is evidenced low activity at concentrations of 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900 mg / ml against P. aeruginosa activity is not evidenced. In the determination of minimum inhibitory concentration hydroalcoholic extracts of leaves of Alternanthera halimifolia against E. faecalis, P. aeruginosa and S. aureus, no evidence of present activity but little activity against E. coli (MIC of 13.30 mg / ml). Inhibitory concentration of hydroalcoholic extracts of the leaves of Pseudelephantopus spiralis, showed little activity against E. coli (MIC of 10.66 mg / ml), P. aeruginosa (MIC of 8.00 mg / ml) and S. aureus (MIC of 6.66 mg / ml) and moderable activity against E. faecalis (MIC of 4.00 mg / ml). In the determination of minimum bactericidal concentration hydroalcoholic extracts of leaves of Alternanthera halimifolia, only present in the E. coli at high concentration (MBC of 213.33 mg / ml), while the other strains did not show MBC. The determination of minimum bactericidal concentration hydroalcoholic extracts of the leaves of Pseudelephantopus spiralis, was that in the E. faecalis activity present in the penultimate concentration (MBC of 106.66 mg / ml), whereas in E. coli (MBC of 213.33 mg / ml), S. aureus (MBC of 213.33 mg / ml) and P. aeruginosa (MBC of 213.33 mg / ml) showed activity in the last merger
