In the present work, an adequate characterization of the socio-economic, cultural and biophysical context is sought, which refers to secondary forests in the study communities, respecting local participation in the management processes of these forests. Therefore, the following objective was proposed: Characterization of secondary forests and their relationship with sociocultural and environmental aspects of local producers, in new brightness, backwater and condor from the District of Pevas. For this research, methodological tools of qualitative information gathering (surveys) and quantitative (production data) were used. A convenience sample was used. The variables that were studied were: Biophysical aspects, Use and management of the environment, Economy, Use of resources. It was observed that, in their secondary forests, they take advantage of a diversity of species, among which 30 types of fruit trees stand out, as well as 27 timber and non-timber forest species, as well as various medicinal species. It is also observed that, as an agricultural system, migratory agriculture, farmers cultivate the land for a shorter time than that which they leave at rest, that is, as crop rotation; they produce from 3 to 4 years and let them rest for more than 5 years and where the work force is originated almost exclusively in the labor of the farmer and mechanized equipment is not used. But inside they combine with fruit trees leaving the "purmas" abandoned but from where you can always extract species of fruit, forest, medicinal, vines, etc.
