The present research work was developed in the urban area of Iquitos, the objective was to determine the existing association between the thermal variables known as friaje presented in growing season and the increase of Acute Respiratory Infections; the research was non-experimental cross-causal type of correlation, the population was children under five years, the sample was the number of patients under five (05) years with symptoms of IRAs during the years 2011-2016; the methodology was based on correlations between the variables, the number of cases of IRAs being the variable explained and the climatic variables the explanatory ones. To determine the degree of association between the variables independently, the Pearson correlation coefficient was used, with the results it is concluded that the multiple correlation analysis for the cases of IRAs and the hydroclimatic variables during the "growing season" shows a significant result, with 76%, we can affirm that the number of cases of IRAs studied are influenced by the interaction of climatic variables during the growing period. The degree of association between the number of cases of IRAs and the hydroclimatic variables during the occurrence of the 53 friages that occurred in Iquitos increases to a very significant 62%, which concludes that when the hydroclimatic variables interact during the occurrence of friajes, increases the number of IRA cases in the city of Iquitos.
