Introduction: Ectopic pregnancy is a global health problem, it is considered in the world one of the main causes of maternal death in developed countries. Objectives: To determine the influence of obstetric factors, pathological and surgical antecedents to ectopic pregnancy in pregnant women hospitalized in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Regional Hospital of Loreto - 2017. Method: The research was observational, descriptive, retrospective and transversal. The study sample consisted of 345 pregnant women (328 intrauterine and 17 ectopic) hospitalized in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Regional Hospital of Loreto, January to December 2017, selected by the simple random sampling method. Results: A statistically significant association was found between the following variables: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, history of appendectomy, use of oral and injectable contraceptives with ectopic pregnancy (P-value <0.05). Conclusions: The Binary Logistic Regression model determined that the variables pelvic inflammatory disease (p value, 000) and use of oral contraceptives (p value, 002) significantly influence ectopic pregnancy.
