OBJECTIVE: The present work aims to demonstrate if there is a significant difference between the prevalence of oral diseases among categories of DIRESA-LORETO health facilities in the province of Maynas that hosted for Rural Internship Dental students of the Faculty Dentistry of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The type of research was quantitative, the design was non-experimental, descriptive comparative, cross sectional. The study population, It was made up of 201 Reports Rural Internship (corresponding to 201 graduates until 2015) conducted in health facilities of the DIRESA- LORETO province of Maynas periods 2006 to 2015, which was obtained information of oral pathologies Internal Dental recorded. RESULTS: A total of 16 health establishments located within the jurisdiction of the DIRESA-LORETO-Maynas and that hosted for Rural Internship students FO-UNAP, 131 reports that met the requirements found inclusion / exclusion divided into three categories: I-2 (15, 11.5%), I-3 (75, 53.3%) and I-4 (41, 31.3%). In the study sample 190046 diagnosed pathologies where the most prevalent dental caries was 41.2% (78,341) it was found. In bivariate analysis found that in the health center where most diseases were diagnosed was in category I-3 with 92.112 (48.5%) of them the most prevalent was the dental caries 36.599 pathologies (46.7%) (p = 0.000). CONCLUSIONS: 53.3% of health establishments were in category I-3 (75). 41.2% of diagnosed diseases were dental caries (78.341). There statistically significant relationship between oral diseases and health facilities in the DIRESA-LORETO province of Maynas.
