Disposición final de aguas residuales según actividades económicas en un centro de abastos, y su influencia en el ambiente, Maynas, Iquitos, 2019

Abstract

Este estudio se llevó a cabo en el Mercado Modelo “3 de Octubre”, distrito de Iquitos, Provincia de Maynas, región Loreto, a fin de conocer la disposición final de las aguas residuales utilizadas en las actividades económicas que se desarrollan en dicho centro de abastos. De una población de 320 vendedores se obtuvo una muestra de 74, a los que se les aplicó la encuesta diseñada para tal fin. Se concluye que, el 45% de vendedores tienen educación secundaria, el 35% de los encuestados está satisfecho por la actividad que desarrolla, el 34% regularmente satisfecho, repercutiendo el poco interés o afectación que le generan los problemas ambientales en su entorno. Sin embargo, se debe resaltar que el 30% está poco y nada satisfecho por la forma como desarrollan dicha actividad. Asimismo, la mayor parte se dedican a la venta de pescados, jugos y frutas respectivamente. Del mismo modo, el estudio reporta que no existe buena disposición final de los residuos sólidos y líquidos, los mismos que se disponen hacia el río Itaya. Además, el 80% considera que mejoraría sus ingresos, si existieran mejores condiciones para desarrollar sus actividades económicas.

This study was carried out in the Mercado Modelo “3 de Octubre”, district of Iquitos, Province of Maynas, Loreto region, in order to know the final disposal of the wastewater used in the economic activities that take place in said center of supplies. From a population of 320 vendors, a sample of 74 was obtained, to whom the survey designed for this purpose was applied. It is concluded that 45% of vendors have a secondary education, 35% of those surveyed are satisfied with the activity they carry out, 34% are regularly satisfied, reflecting the little interest or affectation generated by environmental problems in their surroundings. However, it should be noted that 30% are not very satisfied or not at all satisfied with the way they carry out this activity. Likewise, most of them are dedicated to the sale of fish, juices and fruits respectively. Similarly, the study reports that there is no good final disposal of solid and liquid waste, the same that are disposed of towards the Itaya river. In addition, 80% consider that their income would improve, if there were better conditions to develop their economic activities.
