This present study had as purpose to determine the level of Knowledge in the stomatological management of people with special needs dentistry inside universities, city Iquitos – 2015. The methodology was not experimental, comparative quantitative descriptive type. The population consisted of 30 dental inside who were finishing his rural hospital and University City of Iquitos corresponding boarding 2015. The sample was the same population. To determine the level of knowledge about the stomatológical management of people with special needs a literature review was performed and a test / questionnaire test consisting of 16 closed questions that was validated by expert judgment and described as elaborated: Very good (17 , 0-20), Good (14.01 a17,0) Regular (11.01 to 14.0), Poor (<11), where 40,0% (12) had a regular level of knowledge, 30,0% (9) the knowledge level was good, 23,3% (7) the level of knowledge was poor and only 6.7% (2) had a level of knowledge Very Good. The sections where inmates were obtained higher scores on the concept of oral diseases in susceptible patients with special needs (100%) and the considerations on which the dentist should refuse to provide treatment to patients with special needs, on the basis that requires a highly specialized care (93.3%). Instead sections where they got a low score is about knowledge of the methodologies that are made in the care of a person 14 with special needs (13.3%) and patients with special needs which can be found higher incidence of periodontal disease (20,0%). The study concludes that there is a deficit in knowledge on handling stomatológical people with special needs in internal dental universities, city Iquitos – 2015, and that educational measures should be taken to improve aspects that show learning needs because of the important role played by the dentist in the care of people with this special need in order to improve their quality of life and prevent complications that may affect the integrity of data submitted.
