The research was developed in the Hydroelectric GERA the company Electro Oriente S.A., located in the city of Moyobamba, province of Moyobamba, Fernando Belaunde Terry highway Km.506 approximately, whose main activity is the generation of electric power, districts: Moyobamba and Jepelacio, province: Moyobamba, Department: San Martin. The research was descriptive, correlational type. It was attended by 10 workers, of the total population of 21 workers of the Hydroelectric Gera the company Electro Oriente S.A., for the selection of such products, sampling was applied for convenience, because the target group with which you work corresponds to all areas and plant personnel of the Hydroelectric Gera, the information was collected in the form of control that handles Electro Oriente S.A. on solid waste generation that have influence directly in the generation of electrical energy. In the Hydroelectric Gera, during the first quarter 2017 were generated a total of 831 kilograms of solid waste, of which 640 kg were non-hazardous solid waste and 191 kg of hazardous solid waste. The area that generated greater amount of non-hazardous solid waste was dammed up in the bocatoma Reservoir with 259 kg equivalent to 40.47% of the total non-hazardous waste. The area that generated a greater amount of hazardous solid waste was the home of turbine of Gera II with 84 kg equivalent to 43.98% of the total hazardous waste. After performing the research project will be able to obtain a total of 100% of participants trained and knowledgeable in the field of solid waste, thereby improving the deficit present in solid waste management. After performing the research project will be able to obtain more than 75% of participants by adopting best management practices for solid waste, projecting this result in the correct segregation and management of the waste generated in the Hydroelectric Power Station in Gera.
