The study area is located in the basin of the Rio Nanay in Punchana District, Loreto region. Starting Nanay spa about 15 minutes river mobility; It aimed at evaluating the craft, particularly people corporately organized and involved in them. In the survival strategies of rural populations, this craft making, consistent with the management of their resources, Craftsmanship is not an isolated product, it is related to modes of organization and cultural expression. It is not limited productions intellectual level people are not, as is believed, poor work. Economic activities are mostly the same as traditionally performed by people in rural communities: trade, agriculture, and tourism activity mainly. Tourist activity represents a viable alternative and there is interest from the population involved in it. For the craft it has great potential, since the arrival of tourists favor the manufacture and sale of handicrafts as a tourist attraction and as a basic or additional economic activity. There is interest in the establishment of a handmade runner, allowing them to sell directly to consumers and eliminate the middleman between producers and traders of handicrafts, which refers to the care and protection of the environment, particularly natural resources, population rural communities recognize the importance of economic development for protecting and conserving the resources of the study area. In summary, we conclude that there is great potential to increase economic activity and encourage the development of this rural community through tourism and the craft.
