The research study aimed to determine the relationship between supplementary feeding and nutritional status in children 6 to 24 months, attended practices office of CREDE's health centers: October 6, October 9 and Manuel Cardozo, of the District of Bethlehem, the city of Iquitos, 2015; the method used was quantitative and cross-sectional correlational design. The size of the sample was constituted by 251 mothers of girls (I) from 6 to 24 months. The instruments used were 02: a questionnaire on complementary feeding and practices a tab of registration of anthropometric measures and assessment of the nutritional status of the child (o). Obtained through the Delphi method of 81.8% for questionnaire validity and 85.1% for the registration form; reliability through the method of intercorrelacion of items whose coefficient is Cronbach's alpha, getting 72.2% for questionnaire and 89% for the registration form. The results were: 141 (56.2%) mothers practice adequate complementary feeding and 110 (43.8%) inadequate; 226 (90%) children had a nutritional status Normal, 19 (7.6%) Malnutrition and 6 (2.4%) Overweight. To establish the relationship, these results were subjected to statistical test of chi square (X 2), which determined that there is a statistically significant relationship between supplementary feeding and nutritional practices, where X2 c=28,233; gl = 2 ; p = 0.000 (p <, 05).
