The objective of this research study was to determine the association between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the consumption of alcoholic beverages in forestry, chemical and agronomy students of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon Iquitos -2017. The method used was the quantitative and the non-experimental design of correlational and transversal type. The population was 451 students of both sexes from 16 to 18 years old and the sample of 207 students with the same characteristics as the study population, obtained by means of the stratified probabilistic sampling with proportional affixation. The techniques were interview and direct observation, and the instruments were the questionnaire (98.5% validity and 95.3% reliability), and attitude scale (96.3% validity and 94.9% reliability). The data was analyzed with the SPSS version 22.0. The inferential statistical test was the Chi square, with α = 0.05 and confidence level of 95%. The results are the following: Regarding sex, those who consume alcoholic beverages in a higher percentage are those of male sex 87.4% (118), in knowledge level about alcoholic beverages consumption 72.5% (150) students with knowledge low with respect to the attitude toward alcohol consumption of the students of the faculty of forestry and agronomy is 82.7% (67) and 59.3% (35) have positive attitude while the students of the faculty of chemistry show indifferent attitude the 55.2% (37) .According to the statistical analysis, we find a Chi square value X2 = 9,443, and a p = 0.009 that is lower than the value of α = 0.05 (5%) values that allow us to accept the hypothesis, in the sense that there is a statistically significant association between the level of knowledge and attitude towards the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
