To determine the correlation between colonoscopic findings and the positive Thevenon test used in the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive and correlational, retrospective study was conducted. 138 clinical records of patients treated in the Gastroenterology service of the Hospital de Alta Complejidad “Virgen de la Puerta” – EsSalud, during the period 2019-2023 were reviewed. Patients with results of the Thevenon test who underwent colonoscopy were included. The Chi square test was used for statistical analysis with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: In patients with a positive Thevenon test, 39.9% were 45 years or older and 24.6% were women. 40.6% had no family history of colorectal cancer, 39.1% did not have diabetes, and 26.8% had hypertension. 40.6% were symptomatic, with 26.1% reporting persistent abdominal pain and 36.2% changes in bowel habits. A significant relationship was found between persistent abdominal pain and lower gastrointestinal bleeding (p < 0.05). Colorectal cancer in those with a positive result occurred in only 3.6%. In addition, a significant relationship (p < 0.05) was determined between the presence of internal hemorrhoids and the Thevenon test result. Conclusion: No statistically significant correlation was found between colonoscopic findings and the positive Thevenon test used in the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer
