The main objective of this research entitled “ANALYSIS OF THE ROAD SAFETY OF THE EXPRESS ROAD PROJECT OF THE CITY OF CUSCO, USING THE METHOD OF THE PERUVIAN ROAD SAFETY MANUAL MSV-2017”, was to analyze the road safety of the express highway project. of the city of Cusco through the application of the road safety manual. The methodology used was a non-experimental cross-sectional design, a quantitative approach, a descriptive level, and a hypothetical-deductive method. The road infrastructure was taken as the population: road, control systems and complementary components such as lighting; on the other hand, users, currently susceptible, and light or heavy vehicles that transit through the research area were also taken into account. To determine the sample, non-probabilistic sampling was used; signalized intersections and a specific location on the route for vehicle traffic volumes were selected, geometric properties were examined, and a topographic survey was completed. The main hypothesis was that the expressway project in the city of Cusco will comply with the road safety parameters of the MSV-2017 road safety manual. It is concluded that the parameters of the MSV-2017 Manual are partially met, given that some aspects are not included in its design, as well as the issue of accessibility for people with disabilities.
