The objective of the study was to compare the levels of stress among parents of students in the first years of primary and last years of secondary school in an educational institution in the province of Anta, 2022; the methodology was based on a comparative descriptive study of cross- sectional design; the population was 413 parents of 1st and 2nd grade of primary school and 4th and 5th year of secondary school, from which a sample of 200 parents was taken, to whom the "Abidin Parental Stress Questionnaire (PSI- SF)" was applied. The results showed that parental distress is medium in elementary school parents, the stress of dysfunctional parent-child interaction is medium in elementary school; in addition, it is shown that parents who have male children in elementary school have a medium level of stress and female children in high school also generate the same level of stress, also, it was found that both fathers and mothers have similar levels of stress and elementary school parents who are of mature age show a medium level of stress. It was concluded that there are significant differences between the stress levels of parents with children at the primary level and parents with children at the secondary level, the latter being the ones with higher stress levels.
