The research work was carried out in the district of Cusco, of the Province and Department of Cusco, the purpose of the research was to determine the safety factor of the slope of the left bank of the Quebrada Ayahuayco, taking into account the topographic characteristics that presents the slope, as well as its mechanical properties of the soil that makes up the slope. The topographical survey was carried out in order to obtain the configuration of the slope surface where it was proposed to establish 3 cuts along the creek in the direction of the slide that will be modeled for the calculation of the safety factor, an in situ test was also developed. known as the Porchet Method to find the infiltration and finally to determine the mechanical properties of the soil, 8 surveys were carried out, 3 in each of the chosen points. The samples taken from the test pits were taken to the laboratory to be subjected to moisture content tests, consistency limits, granulometry, direct shear, and SUCS soil classification. Obtained the physical and mechanical properties of the soil (Angle of Friction, cohesion and specific weight) as well as the profiles of each cut with their respective coordinates, these values were entered in the Slide software, where the safety factor was calculated by the methods (Ordinary Fellenius, Simplified Bishop and Jambu Simplificado), obtaining the lowest value of FS and choosing the most critical of each method Cut I (FS = 1.009 Jambu simplified), Cut II (FS = 1.105 J.S) and Cut III ( FS = 1.026 J.S), since the results of FS are less than 1.5 but greater than 1, we can say that the slope in the conditions found is RELATIVELY STABLE. As a contribution to this research, a proposal to stabilize the Ayahuayco ravine is offered, which consists of improving the safety factor through retaining wall modeling and the use of anchors that will be placed perpendicular to the longitudinal profile of the ravine with the purpose of holding the soil and thus increasing the SF. These stabilization methods were chosen since in the area it is not possible to vary the topography of the place to propose other solutions such as sidewalks or gabion walls that are cheaper.
