The objective of the present study was to determine the effectiveness and satisfaction of the external user with Phytotherapy as a complementary treatment for Anxiety Neurosis, Osteoarthrosis and Back pain at the Hospital Adolfo Guevara Velasco, EsSalud, Cusco. The method used had a Descriptive Correlational spe with a Non-experimental or Observational design since no variable was manipulated. The study population consisted of 629 external users of Phytotherapy and 280 external users of conventional treatment for the 3 pathologies considered. A stratified probability sampling was carried out, with a total of 337 Phytotherapy users and 150 conventional treatment users, making a total of 487 external users surveyed. The technique used was the survey and the instrument a questionnaire that determined the effectiveness of phytotherapy and, on the other hand, the modified SERVQUAL scale to determine user satisfaction in relation to the pathologies studied at the Complementary Medicine Care Center of the Adolfo Hospital. Guevara Velasco, EsSalud, Cusco. Regarding the results, in relation to the General Effectiveness Index, an IE index> 1 was obtained with Phytotherapy compared to conventional treatment, which shows that Phytotherapy is on average 1.5 times more effective than conventional treatment. It was established that there is a relationship between the effectiveness and the type of treatment (sig, = 0.000) since it is observed that 56.1% of patients with Phytotherapy consider that the effectiveness is high and 1.8% indicate that the effectiveness is low, and for the patients who received conventional treatment, 44% of those who received conventional treatment indicate that the effectiveness is high and 32.7% low effectiveness. From the application of the SERVQUAL questionnaire, in the Safety dimension, users were 76.3% satisfied and with conventional treatment, users were 84% dissatisfied, showing that there is a highly significant relationship (sig. = 0.000) between the dimensions of satisfaction and type of treatment. On the other hand, 72.7% of the users treated with Phytotherapy were satisfied and 92% of those treated with conventional treatment were dissatisfied, with a highly significant relationship (sig. = 0.000) between the satisfaction of the external user and the type treatment (herbal or conventional). From this research work, it is concluded that, at the Hospital Adolfo Guevara Essalud, Cusco, there is a significant relationship between the effectiveness and satisfaction of the external user with Pytotheraphy as a treatment for anxiety neurosis, osteoarthrosis and back pain (p value < 0.005) determining that external users satisfied with phytotherapy, mostly consider that its effectiveness is high (72%), therefore the Effectiveness of Phytotherapy satisfies the patient treated.
