This thesis is based on the study of the dynamic elastoplastic behavior of a clay-type soil from the Community of Pillao Matao in the district of San Jerónimo. For this purpose, the triaxial equipment with which the soil mechanics laboratory of the Universidad Andina of Cusco has been used, according to NTP E-050 Soils and Foundations. Specimens have been prepared according to NTP 339.164 Unconsolidated triaxial compression standardized test method – not drained for cohesive soils. This standard determines the strength and stress ratio – deformation of a cylindrically shaped specimen for an unchanged soil sample. This sample obtained has been confined and made to three-way pressure produced by the triaxial chamber fluid. Drainage of the specimen during the test is not allowed in this chamber until it reaches its final deformation. This cylindrical sample is subjected to compression at a constant rate of controlled deformation. The permissible magnitude of the axial force in an elastoplastic soil in the clays of the Pillao Matao area, for this study reached 30 ton/m2. However, this occurs in a study range with respect to soil mechanics, with respect to soil dynamics the response of the permissible magnitude of the axial force will depend on the confinement efforts and the level of deformations induced in the clays It should be noted that having the results we could reduce the physical vulnerability of the constructions because it would have the parameters of clay soils more in line with reality, to predict the response of the sub soil to changes in stress state, drainage conditions or changes in moisture content, finally the parameters of elastoplastic soil behavior in clays that integrates a sufficient and necessary number of quantifications are safely known , and to explain the dynamic behavior of the soils specifically of the community of Pillao Matao.
