Objective. Search for the association of the factors that influence the level of knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Design. Observational, analytical, transversal. Participants. Medical staff from the different departments of the Regional. Hospital. of. Cusco. Main. measurements. Spearman rho was used for the main variable. Other variables collected: age. Results. It was obtained that of 73 doctors surveyed, 67% were disapproved, that is, more than half of the respondents have little knowledge of CPR; 33% have regular knowledge and only 1.4% have high knowledge; the relationship with the associated factors was not statistically significant. Conclusions. The level of knowledge was low; This must be considered to generate updating and continuing education courses, so that the medical staff is prepared in theory and practice, thus being able to avoid complications, sequelae, and deaths in the population.
