Objective: Analyze factors that are associated with depressive and anxiety disorders in relatives of patients who died from SARS-COV-2. A sample of 144 family members surveyed was obtained. Results: The factors associated with depressive and anxiety disorder in relatives of those who died from SARS-COV-2 were female sex, PRa of 1,896 95% CI [1,664; 4.911] and PRa of 1.93 with 95% CI [1.792; 2.54], lack of funeral rituals for the deceased with PRa of 2.276 95% CI [1.401; 6,408]; POR of 4.037 95% CI [1.632; 9.984] and the absence of farewell with the family member with RPa 2.521 95% CI [1.231; 5.162] and PRa of 2.074 95% CI [1.522; 4.209]. The associated factors identified for depressive disorder were dissatisfaction with hospital reports POR of 2.178 95%CI [1.045; 4,538] and type of pathological grief PRa of 2,022 95% CI [1,906; 4,514]. Furthermore, having lost multiple deceased relatives is a factor associated with anxiety disorder with an RPa of 1.923 95% CI [ 1.513; 2,249]. Conclusions: The factors associated with depressive and anxiety disorder are female gender, absence of funeral rituals and farewell with the deceased, multiple deceased relatives, dissatisfaction with hospital reports and pathological grief.
