This study is of type: prospective, descriptive and transversal, with a sample consisting of 104 students enrolled at the Dental Clinic Luis Vallejo Santoni of the Professional School of Dentistry, belonging to VII, VIII, IX and X semester. The evaluation of knowledge about diseases transmitted through dental aerosols had the instrument a structured questionnaire, which was implemented in July this year in the clinic waiting room, in which 2 aspects were evaluated: knowledge communicable diseases through dental knowledge aerosols and aerosol generators instruments. Results: It was observed that knowledge was poor with 51 %, followed by 48 % Regular knowledge and good understanding with 1% in general. At the level of knowledge on communicable diseases through dental aerosols it was wrong with a 65.38 % followed the regular knowledge with 30.77 % and good knowledge March 1, 85%. At the level of knowledge about instruments aerosol generators, it was regularly in highest percentage with 50.96 % followed by 50.96% poor knowledge on good knowledge and 1.92% respectively. Conclusions: The level of knowledge transmitted through dental aerosols, students in the dental clinic Luis Vallejo Santoni , was predominantly bad diseases with more than half of the units of study followed by a close regulate knowledge to another half of the units of study.
