This thesis takes place in the city of Cusco; the research aims to evaluate the physical-mechanical properties of Eucalyptus Globulus wood from the areaCusco-Paruro in two moisture content samples, which were natural and dry. The physical-mechanical properties tested were: Basic density, axial Compression or parallel to grain Compression, Compression perpendicular and static bending, for which a total of 200 samples were used, gathered from 5 trees extracted from the area of Paruro-Cusco, 20 samples were used per test for a total of 100 samples by dry moisture content and 100 samples by natural moisture content. The dimensions of each sample were made in accordance with the Peruvian Technical Standards, and found to be free from defects before each test, moisture percentages used were: for content of dry humidity 12% and for moisture content naturally greater than 30%. Statistical criteria was used, including Chauvenet which served to approve or discard the obtained data, an exclusion limit was also used to 5%; to obtain this representative data, the probability function Student (t) was used to a 5th percentile confidence level to 95%. According on the results obtained in chapter IV the conclusions and recommendations are presented, showing that the Eucalyptus Globulus area Paruro-Cusco has the characteristics to be used structurally, it should be noted that the results of mechanical tests for Eucalyptus Globulus in its content of dry were superior to the results obtained in its natural moisture content, classifying the Eucalyptus Globulus containing dry moisture in the group “A“ and Eucalyptus Globulus with natural moisture content in the group “B “according to the Peruvian Technical Rule’s standards.
