This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral management techniques in pediatric dentistry patients at the Luis Vallejos Santoni Stomatological Clinic - 2019. The Methodology of the research work has a qualitative, descriptive - field and longitudinal approach, worked with a sample of 40 child patients who came to the area of pediatric dentistry, selected according to the selection criteria. A test was used as an instrument that included the Frankl scale commonly used to measure the degree of collaboration of the paediatric patient in being treated for research, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the techniques: sayshow-do and contingent distraction taking into account the behavior before and after stomatological treatment. Descriptive statistics with frequency and percentage. The SPSS program will be used to validate the statistical tables, statistical test will be given by Chi squared. The results made it possible to determine the relationship, when applying the behavior management technique: say, show, do; the children's collaboration LEVEL was positive and definitely positive (35% and 65% respectively), which compared to the contingent distraction technique that in terms of the patient's collaboration LEVEL was definitely positive (100%). Where it was concluded that the contingent distraction technique, is more effective compared to the technique to show do in patients aged 5 to 8 years.
