The present research analyzes the relationship between mining activity and the economic development of the rural community of Ccoyabamba during the study period of 2022. This study makes use of both secondary and primary sources related to the Ccoyabamba rural community, the Ccapi district, and the Paruro province. The specific objectives are to determine if mining activity is positively related to income, employment, productive activities, education, and health in the rural community. This research is applied, aiming to provide solutions to the stated problems and explain the relationship between the variables within a correlational framework, from a quantitative perspective. Furthermore, it is a non-experimental design since there is no manipulation of variables, and it has a cross-sectional approach due to a single year of study, which is the year 2022 in this research. It was concluded that there is a correlation between the independent and dependent variables through the application of non-parametric statistical tests, such as the Spearman Rank-Order Correlation coefficient, which yielded a result of 0.873 with a p-value < 0.05, indicating a strong and high correlation. To confirm the specific hypotheses, positive results were obtained with a p-value < 0.01, allowing us to assert with 99% confidence that mining activity positively influences income, employment, productive activities, and improves access to health and education, ultimately enhancing the quality of life of the population.
