The research: “Social, Clinical and Family Environment Characteristics and its relationship with the Psychomotor Development of children under 5 years of age assisted in the Growth and Development Clinic of the Alfredo Callo Rodríguez Hospital, Sicuani Cusco 2017“, has as objective to determine the social, clinical and family environment characteristics and their relationship with the psychomotor development of children under 5 years, the design was descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational, with a sample of 72 children under 5 years. The technique used was the Interview and observation, the instrument was a survey. RESULTS: Of the 50% of the children under the age of 1 year who participated in the study, 94% have a normal psychomotor development and 6% have a developmental risk, of the 21% of children of 1 year 83% have a normal development and 17% are at risk; Of the 14% of children of 2 years, 89% have normal psychomotor development and only 11% are at risk. Of the total of children of 3 years, it is observed that 75% have normal development and 25% are at risk and of the children of 4 years equally 75% have normal psychomotor development and only 25% are at risk. The social characteristics are related to the psychomotor development of children under 5 years old with a value of p = 0.032, the clinical characteristics are related to the psychomotor development of children with a value of p = 0.028 and finally The family environment is related to the psychomotor development of children with a value of p = 0.041. In conclusion, the social characteristics, clinical characteristics and family environment are related to psychomotor development, which is why the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
