This thesis develops the risk analysis qualitatively and quantitatively under the methodology of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) specified in the Project Management Fundamentals Guide (PMBOK® , 2017), being applied in the work “Construcción Integral Sistema de Riego PampaConga – Limatambo – Anta – Cusco“ in order to determine what are the risks that influenced Cost and Time, as well as their impact. To this end, risks were identified through the review of work documentation such as: the technical file and work notebooks, as well as brainstorming with the professionals executing the project, thus identifying 71 risks, including technical, management, commercial and external risks. In the qualitative analysis process we worked with the professionals of the different stages of execution, as a result of this process we obtained the prioritization of risks (high, moderate and low). In the quantitative analysis process, after assigning the risks to the project items, the @Risk software was used, obtaining as a result the necessary contingency values for both time and cost, and then comparing them with what was executed. The result of the risk analysis was a variation in cost of 12.53% with respect to the programmed budget and a variation in time of 68.81% with respect to the programmed time. Finally, from the risks of moderate and high prioritization obtained, as a contribution of the research, a new risk analysis was performed for the balance to be executed in the work under study, obtaining as a result in Cost a variation of 49.61% of the programmed Cost for the balance of the work. According to the results obtained, it is concluded that an adequate risk analysis in the planning of a project will contribute to reduce the probability of occurrence and impact of the materialization of negative risks in the Cost and Time, contributing to the success of the project.
