The limited rainfall information, as well as its non-uniform distribution of meteorological stations in the Cusco Region, are the reasons why this research is carried out, in order to understand the nature of the TRMM satellite rainfall data and to These data become a new source of rainfall information and a new alternative solution to different problems that occur within the Cusco Region, at the time of carrying out projects of social interest in different specialties of Civil Engineering due to the lack of information For this purpose, we will work with SENAMHI land-based historical rainfall data and rainfall data from the TRMM meteorological satellite, based on records from 1998 to 2014. Before obtaining the TRMM monthly and seasonal adjustment factors, the “Data Consistency Analysis“ will be performed on the cumulative monthly rainfall data obtained by the SENAMHI meteorological stations of the Cusco Region; With the purpose of determining whether these terrestrial data are consistent, or of the contrary, must be corrected; Then the process of “Completing data Finally, the monthly and seasonal adjustment factors were obtained to be applied to the TRMM satellite rainfall data, in order to reduce the existing and excess errors in these data and to approximate or adjust them to the monthly rainfall data Accumulated, obtained by the meteorological stations of the SENAMHI of the Cusco Region.
