The present investigation had as main objective to describe the social responsibility of the company MMG Limited, mining project in ‘Las Bambas’, Region of Apurímac, Province of Cotabambas. In order to achieve this objective, a basic research was carried out, with descriptive scope, quantitative approach, non-experimental and transversal design. The study population was the workers in the mine operations area, which are part of the area of greatest influence with respect to activities of the company. A structured questionnaire was designed for the investigation based on 27 affirmations, which were measured through the Likert scale with five evaluation criteria. The results in general reflect that the social responsibility of the company has been rated as inadequate, presenting an average of 2.39; this shows that the impacts of their activities are more negative than positive in society, while ethics and corporate governance was rated as inadequate with an average of 2.48; the environment obtained a rating of inadequate presenting an average of 2.30; On the other hand, the value chain was determined as inadequate with an average of 2.45; the active participation in the community acquired the qualification of inadequate with an average of 2.38; finally, the quality of life and work practices was considered inadequate, presenting an average of 2.35.
