This research began with the study of soil properties selected for improved adobe, then proceeded to the manufacture of adobes with straw percentages 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% over the soil mass and lengths 10cm, 20cm, 30cm, 40cm, showing better properties adobe 1.5% mass and 20cm long straw. Then he proceeded with the addition of sand to mud in percentages of 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, showing unfavorable results compressive strength when added to sand to mud, but the flexural strength occurs otherwise showing best feature adobe 55 mass% relative to the ground. it is also incorporated biaxial geogrid 0.38m X 0.18m dimensions in quantities of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, showing the better flexural containing 2 geogrids. Finally, he made a coating with waterproofing to improve their property to absorption, four products that are Chema top, majesty was used, Igol Sella muro Sika and Techno Moistek, the best result is resistance to absorption is majesty. With the finnally comparison was made with a traditional adobe improved, this lastone has better mechanical and physical properties in a 26.76% compared to traditional adobe in the effort to compression and 5.53% with respect to the bending stress. The traditional adobe shows no absorption resistance because comminuted in the presence of water making it difficult to quantify the absorption, but instead the adobe waterproofing past Majesty 24 hours submerged in water has an absorption of 3.53%. Moreover, in the cost per unit improved adobe is 22.72% higher than a traditional adobe. Therefore, it is concluded that the improved adobe has higher compressive strength, flexural strength and resistance to absorption against a traditional adobe.
